Man wanted in Tacoma killing arrested in California
TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A man wanted as a possible accomplice in the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man in Tacoma has been arrested in California.
The News Tribune reports that David "Beasty" Turner was taken into custody in Crescent City, on the California coast near the Oregon border.
Turner is charged with second-degree murder in the April 15 death of Larnell Griffin, who was found dead in an apartment with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Police believe the shooter was Thomas Sterling Potts Jr., who has already pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
According to charging papers, Potts, Turner and an unidentified man went to the apartment over a disagreement about cell phones.
