Seattle weather: Light shower on Thursday, dry weather next week
Outside a light shower on Thursday, we're predicting dry weather in the Seattle area for at least the next week.
SEATTLE - Thursday will bring spotty morning showers to the Puget Sound area with a dry and cool afternoon.
A weak frontal system will bring light showers to Western Washington today, mainly during the morning commute. The main areas impacted will be in the north Puget Sound and in the northern Washington Cascades. Dry conditions will take over for the afternoon with possible sunbreaks.

A ridge of high pressure will build offshore again as we head into the weekend. Patchy fog will return to the Puget Sound area on Friday morning, but the weekend should be mostly fog free with a colder, drier air mass in place.

What's next:
The holiday weekend will be mostly sunny and cool, with overnight lows in the 20s and daytime highs around 40 degrees.
The ridge will stick around through the middle of next week with dry conditions continuing. There is no lowland snow or significant storms in the forecast for at least the next 10 days.
