This could be Seattle's third-driest January on record
Seattle weather: Mostly sunny, chilly temperatures for Tuesday
The temperatures on the coast will be the warmest in the mid 40s, and further inland it will be in the lower 40s, with the upper 30s in the foothills communities.
SEATTLE - Dry weather continues in western Washington for at least the next three days, with very chilly mornings and afternoon sunshine.
It was a cold morning in western Washington, with plenty of areas in the 20s to start the day. Tuesday afternoon will bring plenty of sunshine and highs back into the mid 40s.

By the numbers:
This stretch of dry weather is uncommon for January, which is usually one of our wettest months of the year.
Persistent ridging over the Pacific Northwest has brought more sunshine and fewer storms than a typical January.
So far, Sea-Tac has only accumulated 1.04 inches of rain. With very little rain ahead in the next 10 days, it is quite possible that January 2025 will become the driest January in 40 years and the third driest since 1945.

The other side:
The snowpack in Washington state is still looking okay after some decent mountain snowfall in December.
Most of the state’s basins are close to average, except for some of the Puget Sound basins. The area has also avoided warm atmospheric rivers this month, which can quickly reduce snowpack.

Snowpack continues to look decent in most of Washington's basins, even with a dry January so far. (FOX 13 Seattle)
Big picture view:
The best chance for precipitation this week will be Thursday night into Friday morning, but showers should remain light, if we see anything at all.
High pressure will take over again this weekend into early next week, bringing the return of cool sunshine.
