It was a mild day in the 40s with clouds and even a few early sunbreaks. Showers return later this evening, unfortunately right in time for the New Year's countdown. We might also see a few snowflakes mixed in for the Hood Canal and south sound overnight into early Wednesday.

Showers will return for midnight, so for those outside for celebrations, grab a rain jacket. Tonight we will see a chance of rain for the strike of midnight with lows in the 30s.

Also, the best chance of rain/snow mix will be around the Hood Canal as cold air is in place. Not expecting any major accumulations or impacts as temperatures will be on the mild side tonight.
