Where to celebrate New Year's Eve around Seattle

SEATTLE - New Year's Eve is fast approaching. If you are still making plans, there are events all around town to help ring in 2025.

Keep reading for events and concerts fit for families, couples, and the over 21 crowd both in Seattle and Tacoma. 

New Year's Eve at the Space Needle in Seattle

• The Alaska Airlines New Year's celebration will feature hundreds of drones and "the largest structurally-launched firework show in North America."
• Visitation at the top of the needle will have extended hours on Dec. 31, but will not extend until the time of the show. The observation deck closes at 8 p.m.
• Space Needle staff say the best vantage point at City Center will be at International Fountain Lawn and Fisher Pavilion.

New Year's Eve in Tacoma 

• Looking to party in the South Sound? There is a Back to the 80s New Year's Eve dance party in Tacoma. The prices range from $42.50-$75.
• For a free community experience, you can hit the pavement for the Tacoma Light Trail. The kick off night features a dragon parade, a traditional New Year blessing from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, live DJs, arts and crafts, and more.
• The Visit Tacoma website has many more options for those with young families, nature lovers, and over 21+ partiers.

New Year's Eve events for children in the Seattle area

Seattle Children's Museum 

• The Noon Year's Eve ball will feature a 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. ball drop, catapults, ball pits, marble runs and more.
• Prices range from $10-$18. You can register for a time and find more information on the event page.
• The whole event runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Bellevue Children's Museum 

• The New Year's Eve countdown at KidsQuest runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be a ball drop at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. with special activities in between.
• Prices are $18 per ticket without membership discount codes.

New Year's Eve concerts in Seattle

New Year's Eve with Kenny 

• Seattle native, and music legend Kenny G is hosting two shows on New Year's Eve.
• There will be a performance in the early evening (doors at 5:30 p.m.) and another later on (doors at 10 p.m.) The earlier show will have the option for a four-course meal.
• Prices range from $152.50-$211.50.

New Year's Eve Concert and Party: Disco Fever

• If you want to really groove into the new year, this disco dance party featuring artists like Maiya Sykes, B.Slade and Enrico Lopez-Yanez might be for you.
• "It's Raining Men," "I Will Survive," and more hits will play before a post-concert party featuring more DJ's and artists.

Together As One Seattle NYE Rave 2024

• The event ringing in 2025 will feature artists like Dom Dolla, Green Velvet, Metrik, DJ Reza, Alyssa Jolee and more.
