Law enforcement arrested a barricaded suspect on Vashon Island following a domestic violence incident Monday afternoon.
VASHON ISLAND, Wash. - Law enforcement arrested a barricaded suspect on Vashon Island following a domestic violence incident Monday afternoon.
What we know:
The King County Sheriff's Office said one person is now in custody after a SWAT standoff. Deputies say a weapon was involved in the incident.
It happened near Wax Orchard Road Southwest, near the horse barns. Authorities arrested the suspect around 4:19 p.m.
The incident caused Washington State Ferries to pause one of its vessels, and the Vashon Island School District to alter one of its bus routes. The King County Sheriff's Office Guardian One helicopter also responded.
What we don't know:
Details surrounding what initiated the standoff are unknown.
It is also unclear if there were any injuries in the incident.
