Seattle Space Needle to fly American flag at half-staff to honor Jimmy Carter

On Monday, the American flag will fly at the Space Needle to honor former President Jimmy Carter who passed away at age 100 on Sunday.

The flag will fly at half-staff to "commemorate the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter," said Genny Boots, a spokesperson for the Space Needle.

Boots says the flag will be raised as sunrise and remain up until sunset on December 30.
