Shooting puts Seattle school building on lockdown
A Seattle elementary school was put on lockdown Monday after a nearby shooting put bullets through campus windows.
SEATTLE - A Seattle school was put on lockdown Monday after someone fired a gun onto campus grounds.
Students and staff at BRIDGES at Roxhill Annex school were under lockdown this afternoon, with classroom and exterior doors locked, according to a statement from Seattle Public Schools.
The SPS elementary school officials say the shots were not intended for the campus and that all students and faculty are safe.
Timeline:
Initial 911 calls to Seattle Police reported shots fired at a nearby 76 gas station just before 1 p.m. on Feb. 10.

At 12:46 p.m. officers responded to the scene to find more than a dozen shell casings at the parking lot area.
SPD and King County Sheriff's Office report seeing shattered classroom windows and other building damage to the elementary school. Additionally, several bullets went into the 76 gas pumps.
Law enforcement officials say Monday evening that witnesses reported seeing a black sedan and a white sedan fleeing the area around the time of the shooting.
What they're saying:
"Students remain indoors and in their classroom until the lockdown has been lifted. The Seattle Police Department (SPD) was quick to respond and is currently investigating this incident. No students or staff were harmed, and the lockdown was lifted after SPD indicated it was safe to do so," read the statement, in part.
