SEATTLE - Police are searching for the person who shot and killed a man at a homeless encampment in Seattle's Ravenna neighborhood.
The shooting happened just after 5 a.m. at Olga Park, a grassy median area near the intersection of 15th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Ravenna Boulevard, according to Detective Valerie Carson, spokesperson for the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, a confrontation with another man outside a tent led to multiple shots fired Monday morning. A 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect fled the scene. Police said they believe they know who that person is but did give a description.
Homicide investigators cordoned off the area to search for evidence and have not arrested a suspect, Carson said. Police have yet to describe a possible motive for the shooting.
