Seattle light rail weekend closure between U District and Capitol Hill

In continued efforts to prepare for the opening of the 2 Line, there will be service disruptions to the 1 Line this weekend.

Light rail service will be down between the U District and Capitol Hill stations from Feb. 1-2.

In the meantime, SoundTransit will be providing a shuttle service for passengers to complete the portion of their journey between the Capitol Hill, University of Washington, and U District stations.

What they're saying:

"All day, shuttle buses will replace 1 Line service between U District and Capitol Hill stations, running every 10-15 minutes. Trains will operate between Lynnwood–U District every 12 minutes and Capitol Hill–Angle Lake every 15 minutes," read a statement, in part, on the SoundTransit announcement page

"Passengers boarding at Roosevelt Station should pay attention to in-station announcements, check destination signs on trains, or ask Sound Transit staff if they're boarding the correct train," the statement continued.

More about the work being done during this closure can be found here
