Seal spotted on Connecticut streets raises more questions than answers

Police are trying to figure out how a seal ended up wandering along a local street in New Haven, Connecticut over the weekend.
What they're saying:
Officers located the seal on Sunday and contacted the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, which picked up the seal to get it medical treatment, New Haven police Officer Christian Bruckhart told the New Haven Register.

WTNH-TV in Connecticut reported that the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection provided help to the Mystic Aquarium to recover the seal, which will stay at the aquarium in the meantime.
The New Haven Police Department posted a photo of the seal on X with a caption that read "Meet the newest addition to the department!"
