The Renton Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a convicted felon with seven warrants for his arrest.
RENTON, Wash. - The Renton Police Department's Violent Crime Unit and Valley SWAT arrested 22-year-old Jomauri Wilson on Friday thanks to a tip from Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.
Pollice said he was carrying a Glock handgun modified to make it fully automatic. The weapon had an extended magazine with 22 hollow-point rounds.
Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop after seeing him get into a vehicle.
"He didn't want to come out so they fired a pepper balls into the vehicle. it took two rounds but eventually he did surrender," said Renton PD PIO Meeghan Black.
Wilson was wanted for escaping Electronic Home Detention multiple times and on multiple charges, including two weapons charges, three felony order violations, and escape. He now faces two additional weapons charges for possessing the Glock.
He is also under investigation by police and the feds for alleged sex trafficking.
"If Renton were to have a ten most wanted list, Jomauri Wilson would have been #1. He is that violent, a known gang member and I can say confidently that Renton and our surrounding communities are safer with him behind bars," said Black.
Wilson is being held on multiple gun and DV charges on $255,000 bail.
