Kitsap County deputies arrest man who allegedly fired at them
OLALLA, Wash. - A man who allegedly shot at Kitsap County deputies and ran into the woods is now in custody.
Darian Alan Savoie is accused of firing at deputies as they contacted him about a case of felony harassment with a firearm on Thursday.
According to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, a Washington State Fish and Wildlife officer spotted Savoie walking along a roadway. The officer called 911 and Savoie was later arrested.
The area of Burley Olalla Road and State Highway 16 will remain closed while deputies investigate and search for a weapon.
Olalla Elementary School was put on lockdown in response to the shooting.
The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office thanked the public for its assistance.
