1 in custody after I-5 shooting in South Seattle

One person is in custody after a shooting happened on Interstate 5 in South Seattle Tuesday afternoon.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is seeking witnesses to a shooting that happened on southbound Interstate 5 in South Seattle on Tuesday.

Troopers said a vehicle's window was shot out on southbound I-5 near South Columbian Way, and the victim of the shooting chased the suspect until a three-car collision occurred near Boeing Field.

The suspect, who drove an older silver BMW, was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened around 2:20 p.m.

Detectives are now asking for witnesses to come forward, specifically those who observed any interaction between the suspect and victim vehicles between the Spring Street and 6th Avenue entrance to southbound I-5 and mid-Boeing Field.
