WA corrections deputy charged with vehicular assault
A Pierce County corrections deputy ended up in the same jail he works in, after an assault on early New Year's Day.
TACOMA, Wash. - A Pierce County Corrections Deputy ended up in the same jail he works at on the morning of New Year's Day, for allegedly running over his ex’s head outside a Tacoma bar.
Twenty-two-year-old Cameron Boucher walked past his coworkers in court Thursday as he appeared in front of a judge.
Boucher is charged with vehicular assault. According to probable cause documents FOX 13 Seattle obtained, Boucher drunkenly ran over his ex-girlfriend’s head in a parking lot.
Investigators responded to a parking lot east of South 11th Street and Market Street near the Steel Creek Bar around 1:50 a.m.
Probable cause documents state Boucher left the bar after taking several shots of liquor and walked to his truck. His ex-girlfriend approached him but fell on the ground, then Boucher reportedly backed over the victim’s head in his truck, according to the report.

The documents said the victim’s friend came over to help, but then Boucher got into a fist fight with them.
According to the report, people were trying to stop Boucher from leaving the scene.
The report also states Boucher blew twice the state’s legal limit, and he reeked of alcohol. He also failed a field sobriety test.
The victim was raced to a hospital. Investigators said she had several fractures in her face.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department says Boucher was hired on August 5, 2024. At the time of the incident, he was still on probation and has not gone to the academy.
As of right now, Boucher is still employed with the county.
A judge set Boucher’s bail at $75,000 in court. Boucher has already posted bail.
